Am 6. und 7. März 2012 findet das » International Forum on Terahertz Spectroscopy and Imaging / 5th Workshop on Terahertz Technology« in Kaiserslautern statt. Veranstalter sind das Fraunhofer-Institut für Physikalische Messtechnik IPM und die VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik. International anerkannte Experten auf dem Gebiet der Terahertz-Technologie (THz) berichten über Fortschritte in Forschung und Anwendung. Eine Ausstellung von Terahertz-Systemen, -Produkten und -Dienstleistungen findet begleitend zum wissenschaftlichen Teil der Veranstaltung statt. Themen des Workshops sind die zerstörungsfreien Materialprüfung, Sicherheits- und Kommunikationstechnologie, neue Terahertz-Technologien sowie gesundheitliche und soziale Aspekte der Terahertz-Technologie.
