This congress is organized every second year by the Dresden stem cell community in the newly founded DFG-Research Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) http://www.crt-dresden.de and the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 655) "Cells into Tissues" http://www.sfb655.de. Based on the experience with our international congresses in 2006 and 2008 we expect about 1000 scientists to attend this exciting meeting from all over the world. In 2010 the congress will focus on stem cells, and the formation of tissues of multiple organs, such as the CNS, pancreas, skin, heart, and the hematopoietic system. In addition, we will specifically address systems biology, biomaterials research, clinical developments in the area of regenerative medicine and cell-based therapies.
Organizing Committee:
Prof. M. Bornhäuser, Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD)
Prof. G. Ehninger, Collaborative Research Center 655 Cells into Tissues,
Prof. E. Knust, Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics,
Prof. A. Müller, SPP 1356 - Pluripotency and Cellular Reprogramming,
Prof. C. Werner, Leibnitz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden and CRTD
