VeranstaltungCulture(s) and Innovation: Claims, Evidence and Policy
Symposium
Culture matters for innovation, say entrepreneurs and politicians. But their high expectations raise questions. How do professional, urban or organizational cultures help the new to emerge? When does intercultural confrontation foster creative potentials? Can artistic interventions change the pace with which innovations develop and spread? Are there general patterns or rules to guide organisations or political decision makers when they plan to innovate? The symposium explores the claims, confronts them with evidence from academic and entrepreneurial experiences, and provides a European policy-maker's view on the agenda for research and innovation.
