18. Mai 2012 - Internationaler Tag der Pflanze in Quedlinburg
Die Europäische Organisation für Pflanzenwissenschaften, EPSO genannt http://www.epsoweb.org, ruft für den 18. Mai 2012 den "Fascination of Plants Day" aus, den Internationalen Tag der Pflanze. Menschen aus mehr als 25 Staaten haben sich dazu entschlossen, am Internationalen Tag der Pflanze teilzunehmen und auch in der Woche um das Datum herum verschiedenste Aktionen zu organisieren. Der 18.5.12 ist ein Brückentag nach Himmelfahrt.

More than 60 scientific institutions, universities, botanical gardens, and museums, together with farmers and companies, have already announced that they will open their doors, with a variety of plant-based events for all interested people from toddlers to grandparents. Anyone who would like to contribute to the "Fascination of Plants Day" (FoPD) is welcome to join in. The media are also kindly invited to get involved.
