„Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 75. Geburtstag Walter Ulbrichts!“ Das berichtete 1969 die DDR-Lehrerzeitschrift „Die Unterstufe“. Die Redaktion war offenbar nicht frei in ihren Entscheidungen: Sie musste dem Ministerium für Volksbildung ausführlich Bericht erstatten und Weisungen entgegennehmen. Dieser Prozess der Einflussnahme wird in einem bildungshistorischen Forschungsprojekt an der Universität Würzburg untersucht.
