Smartphones als Blindenstock, telemedizinisch überwachte Patienten, lernende Hörgeräte – digitale Technologien revolutionieren die Gesundheitsversorgung. Per Navi, Street View und Google Glass lassen wir uns durch den Alltag steuern. Und smarte Überwachungstools für Fitness, Schlaf und Diät-Erfolg machen unseren Körper zum Schauplatz einer neuen Optimierungs- und Leistungskultur. Schritt für Schritt werden die kleinen Helfer zum Teil unserer Identität. Unsere Körpergrenzen verschieben sich und fundamentale Fragen stellen sich völlig neu: Wo endet mein Ich und wo beginnt die Technik? Was ist natürlich, was ist künstlich, was ist echt, was unecht? Sind wir Akteure dieses Kulturwandels oder haben wir längst die Orientierung verloren?
