The reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is a key task of the 21st century in order to keep the global temperature rise at an acceptable level. The power sector, especially,
has to undergo a fundamental transformation towards a fully renewable energy supply in the years to come.
With a development that is moving towards a 100 % renewable energy supply, biomass has to take on a new role. In the future, biomass needs to support a system driven by the intermittent electricity production from wind turbines and photovoltaic plants. Biomass can
act both as a backup and as storage capacity for such a system. In order to get there, technical, economic and ecologic issues need to be addressed.
The conference “Sustainable Biomass in the Context of 100 % Renewable Energy Supply” sets the course for the upcoming challenges in the biogas sector. It is the first in
a row of annual conferences on 100 % Renewable Energy Systems and 100 % Climate Protection hosted by the Universities in Flensburg and Sønderborg, Project Zero
Sønderborg and Klimapakt Flensburg. This conference is co-hosted by Aalborg University.
The conference will be a venue for inspiring insights and lively discussions for experts from industry, politics, associations, and research and development institutions.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
