ORCHEM 2014

19. Lecture Conference

Scientific progress depends on discussion and interaction. For this reason scientific conferences are especially important for younger researchers.

ORCHEM has developed into one of the most important organic chemistry conferences in Germany for academics, industrial chemists, and students alike. It takes place in Weimar for the fourth time in 2014.

ORCHEM is not a specialized conference, but rather encompasses many aspects of organic chemistry. ORCHEM is a meeting point for renowned scientists from Germany and abroad. At the same time ORCHEM is tailored to the interests of Ph.D. students.
An important feature of the programme of ORCHEM is a poster session where young researchers can present their latest results.

At ORCHEM 2014 lectures from the following areas are planned:
• biological and medicinal chemistry
• new synthetic methodology and natural product synthesis
• physical organic chemistry and organic materials.

Additionally, there will be a special evening lecture on “structure in chemistry and architecture”. Let yourself be surprised.

Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
