Die Konferenz zielt darauf ab, systematische und systemübergreifende Analysen in Bezug auf Tumor-Bauplan und -funktion zu beleuchten und mögliche Beiträge der Systemmedizin für die Nutzung genetischer und tumorbiologischer Informationen für neue Therapiestrategien aufzuzeigen.
Die Konferenz vereint die Felder “Fundamental Mechanisms of Disease”, “Oncogenic Signaling Networks”, “Mechanisms of Dissemination and Metastasis”, “Immunosurveillance, Tolerance, and Autoimmunity”, “Condition- vs. Target-based Interventions” sowie “Exploiting Systems-wide Non-Cancer Pharmacogenomics for novel Cancer Therapies” und “Omics-connecting Bioinformatics, Computational Medicine, Modeling and Simulation”.

Die vergünstigte "Early Bird"-Anmeldung (170€ für Wissenschaftler bzw. 85€ für Studenten) sowie die Frist zur Einreichung von Abstracts (ausgewählte Abstracts werden als Mini-Talks präsentiert) enden am 15. April, 2013. Des Weiteren gelten Vergünstigungen für Gruppenanmeldungen. Die Veranstaltung wurde von der Ärztekammer Berlin mit 15 Fortbildungspunkten zertifiziert.
